2. Deep Blue Sea 2
The best shark film to grace our films since the inception of aquatic horror movies - Deep Blue Sea will be getting its second feature film very soon. Whilst more of the magic that brought you THAT famous death scene can only be a good thing, the title’s straight-to-DVD status is troubling for predicting any sort of quality.
That being said however, Deep Blue Sea prides itself on being primarily a B movie, so all hope hasn’t been lost just yet. The plot follows a starkly similar path to its predecessor, in which genetically engineered sharks are being experimented on to aid modern medicine findings. Inevitably, smart sharks turn out to be a bad idea - and a battle to stay alive in the middle of a top secret underwater facility commences.
Serving as the shark film that answers only to Speilberg’s Jaws, Deep Blue Sea 2 will hopefully bring back the fin-tastic fun from almost 20 years ago. Sorry.
