10 Horror Short Villains Who Deserve Their Own Movies

9. Abe

Got two words for you, buddy: Robot. Serial killer. I know, right?! Sign us the hell up.

Abe is one creepy little mechanical dude, it has to be said, but the concept behind this character is fascinating, brilliant and also incredibly simple because what the creator Robert McLellan here was basically take the standard stalking, toxic, narcissistic nature of your average serial killer and applied them to a robot. Simple, but it also opens up a number of other questions about Abe's nature because his motivations are just different enough as well.

It's actually kind of hard to just flat out call Abe evil, unlike how you would should any human behave this way. Like any machine he simply follows his programming, and unfortunately he wasn't programmed to cope with someone falling out of love with him. Also, as a machine, he simply assumes they're broken and he can fix them...which requires getting inside. He also can't change his programming which means he'll never stop falling in love and trying to fix the people who inevitably and obviously don't fall in love their robot abductor.

Honestly, this character opens up so many questions and is just so intriguing that he deserves much more than seven minutes on screen.

Johnny sat by the fire, idly swirling his brandy, flicking through the pages of War and Peace, wondering whether it was pretentious to write his bio in the third person.
