10 Horror Trailer Scenes That Were Cut From The Film

6. How Many Predators Are There? - Predators

After the abominable reception of Aliens vs Predators: Requiem, sci-fi fans were understandably skeptical when Predators was announced in 2010.

But when the trailer revealed the film would revolve around mercenaries battling the Yautja hunters on their home planet, even the biggest cynics couldn't help getting hyped.

As impressive as the promos were, what really sold this sequel was the shot of Adrian Brody's body covered in 15 laser targets. This shot implied our squad would face off against over a dozen mandibled creatures, each armed with shoulder cannons, wrist blades, net guns, smart discs, and self-destruct bombs. How could this film not be the most action-packed blockbuster since... well.. the original Predator?

Sadly, this was a trailer-only shot. Do you know what's worse? There's only four Predators in the whole movie!!

Look, we can forgive a film for using trailer-only scenes. But this shot was flat-out false advertising, since it mislead viewers into believing our ensemble would fight a mini-army of extra-terrestrials, rather than a handful.

Although Predators is a surprisingly decent instalment, viewers couldn't help being let down by the filmmakers' deliberate deception.
