When releasing an album, there is far more to think about than just the writing and recording of the songs themselves. There is, among other things, the track listing, which will be released as singles, and, of course, the music videos.

These can make or break a single release, as a great video can genuinely put a song on the map, even if the track itself isn't as good. They are a chance to add a little more depth and context to a song, and to get it right is absolutely essential. Just like any film or video, casting is incredibly important.

A big chunk of the industry will utilise the band members or the artists themselves in a video, either playing the music live or showing their acting chops, but not always. There are usually more faces than just the band, some of which are incredibly famous.

Plenty of the biggest TV and movie stars have gone under the radar appearing in music videos, some of which came far before their fame ever took off, while others took to the screen at the height of their careers. You'll never be able to hear these ten songs the same way when you realise who they brought in for the videos.

10. Mila Kunis - Jaded By Aerosmith

Aerosmith are undoubtedly one of the biggest and most recognisable bands in rock music history. Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, and co. have had decades worth of huge hits, and even though the song was included on their Devil's Got A New Disguise greatest hits album, Jaded is not exactly one of the first tracks that come to mind when you think of the band.

Similarly, whereas videos like Walk This Way ft. Run DMC are iconic, Jaded went somewhat under the radar, despite the big name on screen throughout.

Plenty of actors on this list starred in these music videos before they got famous, but not in the case of Mila Kunis. By the time the song released in 2001, she had been playing Jackie Burkhart on That 70s Show for a solid three years, and would have been instantly recognisable.

The song itself was written by Steven Tyler and inspired by how much of his daughter's childhood he missed while on the road. This is the basis of the jaded girl in the song and in the video, and if you put it like that, there are certainly worse castings of Liv Tyler you could make than Mila Kunis.
