2. Jaime Pressly & Chris Evans - Tainted Love By Marilyn Manson
In the late 90s and early noughties, Marilyn Manson became something of a beacon for outcasts, holding the door open for alternative styles outside the typical American high school scene. This was something that inspired the video for Tainted Love.
As the video opened on another high school party, with the usual characters you'd expect, it was soon taken over by Manson and his gothic brood. The track was featured on the soundtrack for, and released alongside, 2001's Not Another Teen Movie, acting almost as an extension of the movie.
There were several characters who appeared in both the movie and the music video, though easily the two most recognisable today would have been Priscilla and Jake, aka Jaime Pressly and Chris Evans. The former played a larger role, doing everything she could to hog the attention as a stereotypical high school cheerleader, though Chris Evans would have been easier to miss.
The then-future Captain America only featured in a scene or two at the beginning of the video, ultimately only there as a jock for Manson to push out of the way while walking into the party. If Hawkeye has come a long way since hitting Pink on the head with a bottle, Captain America has come even further.
