10 Huge Hollywood Actors We All Loved (But Now Hate)
8. Ryan Reynolds
We Love You Moment: One day before Green Lantern was released (2011). Ryan Rodney (Rodney!) Reynolds first found fame as Berg in hit TV show Two Guys, A Girl and a Pizza Place and like others on this list his natural talent and charisma led to offers of film roles. He showed his range with comedies like the much loved Van Wilder and Just Friends and action films like Blade: Trinity and Smokin' Aces. He proved a capable leading man in rom-coms Definitely Maybe and The Proposal and showed his dramatic capabilities in films like Adventureland and The Nines. When it was announced that he would be playing Hal Jordan in the upcoming Green Lantern, fanboys everywhere rejoiced. They were finally going to get a big screen adaptation of their DC hero with a big budget and the perfect actor cast in the role. They couldn't wait. We Want A Divorce Moment: One day after Green Lantern was released (2011) Turns out, they could not only wait but they could also avoid like the plague. The film version of one of DC's hottest properties was abysmal and a genuine turkey of epic proportions. The man who was once one of the most loved fanboy actors, cited as perfect for pretty much every new film and comic book adaptation, was now a pariah. Flop after flop followed with films like The Change Up and R.I.P.D and talks of a long gestating Deadpool film kept going...and going. Once hailed as the perfect Wade Wilson, the fans are now quite rightly questioning whether or not they want Reynolds to play the Merc With The Mouth at all. Throw in marriages to Scarlet Johannson and Blake Lively and you have an actor who is pretty much loathed right now (jealously is terrible but, hey, it happens). Chances Of Getting Back Together: Definitely, maybe...we want to like you Ryan but you're not making it easy for us.
