8. Tom Holland Is Going To Be An "Amazing" Spider-Man

Inevitably, the topic of Spider-Man came up a lot during Ant-Man's press tour, especially as Tom Holland was cast as the new Peter Parker just days before it began. After a number of tests with Holland and a handful of other actors, Kevin Feige said that casting Holland became a "universal decision" because he has "those flavours Peter Parker needs to have." Going on to praise the British actor for being "amazing" (no pun intended presumably), Feige went on to point out that his age - 19 - is another big reason for him landing the job as he's years younger than both Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire were when they were cast. Stan Lee and Steve Ditko's names were also mentioned repeatedly as inspiration. That's pretty much what fans want to hear, and while the Marvel Studios boss refused to elaborate on Spider-Man's part in Captain America: Civil War, he excitedly pointed out how good it will be to see a hero as different as the teenage Peter Parker interacting with super soldiers, assassins, Gods, and billionaires in iron armour...
