3. Spider-Man Will Face A New Villain In 2017
Fans hoping to see the return of the Green Goblin (really?) or the likes of Doctor Octopus and Venom in 2017's Spider-Man reboot will likely be sorely disappointed. Kevin Feige revealed during a couple of different interviews that they're actually planning on using one of his villains who has yet to receive the big screen treatment in the reboot instead. There are number of possibilities, and Feige would provide no other specifics other than to constantly praise Spidey's rogues gallery. Looking back on the leaked "Sony Hack" emails may provide some insight though as they revealed that Sony were interested in utilising Kraven the Hunter and possibly adapting the critically acclaimed "Kraven's Last Hunt". That would certainly be an interesting direction to take things in, but who knows how much Marvel has changed things since coming on board and taking creative control. Everyone from Black Cat to Scorpion, Carnage, Vulture, and Mysterio could be considered viable candidates, and the reveal of Spider-Man's first MCU foe promises to be very interesting!
