10 Huge Movie Returns Nobody Ever Expected (THAT ARE FINALLY HAPPENING!)

8. Liv Tyler As Betty Ross - Captain America: Brave New World

Outside of General Thaddeus Ross' presence in everything from Captain America: Civil War, to Avengers: Infinity War, the MCU hasn't exactly been over-flowing with references to 2008's The Incredible Hulk.

The fact Edward Norton was subsequently replaced by Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, the flick wasn't exactly a massive box office success, and Universal co-produced that first Hulk appearance in the burgeoning cinematic universe all likely had parts to play in Marvel largely steering clear of nods to that 2008 flick.

But the days of the MCU generally not acknowledging that Edward Norton-starring film finally appear to be coming to an end.

On the back of Tim Roth making a rather unanticipated return in She-Hulk as Emil Blonsky/Abomination, another set of Incredible Hulk stars nobody really expected to see within the world of super soldiers and gods again will be showing up in Captain America: Brave New World.

Liv Tyler is shockingly back as Betty Ross (via THR), Banner's one-time love interest, with the star joining Tim Blake Nelson (The Leader) as another actor set to make their hotly anticipated first MCU appearance in 16-years in that fourth Cap movie.

And with Harrison Ford also stepping into the role of "Thunderbolt" Ross, replacing the late William Hurt in this Phase Five epic, this Brave New World is shaping up to be a fascinating one.
