10 Huge Questions That Undermine Back To The Future

4. How Did The Doc Survive That Lightning Bolt?

It's one of the tensest moments of the film. The Doc's scrambling to connect the cable that will conduct the electricity. It's stuck under a branch. Oh no, we're thinking. This is it. But then Doc Brown holds the cable in place. Exactly how strong is this man though? He's struck by lightning and on his feet only seconds afterwards. Is there no explanation as to why? The Doc made such a big deal about how they needed such a huge amount of electricity, and how you can only get such a huge amount of electricity from one source. And then he just lets that electricity pulse straight through him? Perhaps it's because it's some of the slowest lightning to ever hit Hill Valley. Seriously, watch it: it's an instance where light doesn't travel at the speed of light. It's a wonder Doc Brown didn't give up on the time travel and investigate that.
