10 Hyped 2017 Movies That Will Definitely Disappoint You

7. The Fate Of The Furious

The Hype: It's the eighth entry into a franchise that just seems to keep getting better, and this time Vin Diesel's a bad guy, and is joined by Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren and that ginger bloke from Game of Thrones.

Why It Will Disappoint: Furious 7 concluded on such a high note that it really could (and perhaps should) have been the franchise's final chapter. While the action will likely deliver, expect the law of diminishing returns to creep in as fans continue to expect the series to one-up itself but the filmmakers struggle to top their own insanity short of actually going into space.

Also, it looks painfully obvioius that Diesel's Dom Toretto is being blackmailed into working for Cipher (Theron), so if that's made into a late-movie plot twist, it's going to be really lame.

And of course, there's the huge void left by Paul Walker's absence, which could really strip some of the movie's soul away. Basically, fans think each movie will improve on the previous, but this will probably be the first one since the fifth that indisputably doesn't do that.
