That’s right, good old Clint was considered for Two-Face on the Adam West TV show. Two-Face never appeared on the show during its run, apparently because he was deemed too frightening to a younger audience. This didn’t stop the idea being floated, and a script – which was a two-parter fittingly enough – called The Two-Way Crimes Of Two-Face was written.

The script was penned by acclaimed author Harlan Ellison (A Boy And His Dog), which was initially considered for the first season. Producers were still reluctant to introduce the character, though they did approach Clint about the possibility. At the time Clint was still best known for Rawhide and A Fistful Of Dollars and was friendly with star Burt Ward.

Sadly this never came to pass, and the show was cancelled before Two-Face appeared. It’s hard to say how well Clint would have done with the part, but with his raspy voice and imposing presence it would have been pretty cool at the very least.

Handsome. Charismatic. Intelligent. Noble. Witty. I'm none of these things, but I'm a half decent writer, I guess.
