When Anchorman was first released in 2004, few could've imagined how much of an effect it would have on contemporary popular culture. Seemingly nonsensical lines, many of which were improvised on the spot by the film's stars (who revealed in a recent interview with Empire Magazine that there is no way anyone from the studio would've approved of them had they been included in the script, given their ludicrousness) have gradually entered the mainstream, and are often cited in everyday discussions across forums and social media by the film's fanbase. Nine years later, and Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues is opening in cinemas. Expectations are high, and it has been heavily promoted in recent weeks, with Will Ferrell performing a number of skits and appearing at a number of events in character as the titular Anchorman, Ron Burgundy, often joined by the other members of the Channel 4 news team - Champ Kind (David Koechner), Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd), and Brick Tamland (Steve Carell).
