10 Iconic Batman Moments We Still Haven't Seen On Film

8. The Holiday Killer Reveal - The Long Halloween

The Long Halloween
DC Comics

Admittedly, Nolan sort of touched upon The Long Halloween in Batman Begins insofar as he showed Batman's origin as a traditional vigilante first and then upon wiping organised crime from Gotham, the super-villains began to appear. But The Long Halloween is a tremendously intimate story that follows Batman on a year long case in which a serial killer targets the very same criminals that he himself is against.

It's an interesting dichotomy as The Dark Knight is forced into a position in which he becomes a guardian to the people that he's sworn to bring to justice. The final reveal as to who the killer actually is is arguably one of the most satisfying reveals in comic book history. Simple, intimate and beyond classy, The Long Halloween is a story that begs to be brought to the big screen.
