10 Iconic Batman Moments We Still Haven't Seen On Film

1. Defeating Superman

Looking back, I guess this list is rather Frank Miller top-heavy, but hey, you can€™t really go wrong with a bit of Miller, especially 80€™s Miller. Again, in Dark Knight Returns, there€™s a particular moment that left me open-mouthed, stunned and almost disbelieving of what I€™d just witnessed. Again, you€™ve got to remember that Bruce Wayne is an old man in Dark Knight Returns, but still commit€™s to a one on one (well, almost) with the Man of Steel himself. It€™s an age old debate; who would win, Batman or Superman? Well, given the time to plan, and prepare, it€™d be Batman every time. Batman can defeat anyone, and this particular moment was one of the first to fully iterate that stone cold fact to mainstream comic book audiences. Superman, now a U.S sanctioned entity, is sent after Batman, who€™s considered a public menace by a society hell bent on protecting its criminals with legislation. Any normal individual would say €œOh well, Superman€™s on my case now, better call it a day€. But Batman is hardly a normal individual now, is he? Batman does what he does best. He plans, plots, schemes and designs and when the showdown comes to pass, he takes shows Superman exactly why he€™s undefeatable, regardless of his foes€™ power level. Of course, it€™s not exactly a fair fight; Batman employs all sorts of gadgetry, tech and even enlists the help of Oliver Queen, a.k.a Green Arrow, but the important thing is, he wins. And what perfect a time to adapt this moment to screen, with the Justice League movie coming in the next few years. It wouldn€™t have to be a direct adaptation either; Bats wouldn€™t necessarily have to be returning from retirement for it to take place. Just look at the Hero vs. Hero showdowns in The Avengers and tell me that you wouldn€™t want to see something similar take place between Bats and Supes. Possession could be involved, simple misunderstanding, hell, this whole fight could simply be an elaborate pissing contest for all I care. What€™s truly important in this moment, and why it€™d be perfect for the Justice League film, is the fact that Superman is a nigh-on indestructible demi-God; Batman is simply a man. But even though that€™s the case, the result is still almost inevitable. So there you have it. There are so many awesome Batman moments that we€™ve yet to see committed to film; too many for even a 100 strong list let alone a top 10. What would you like to see for the future of the Dark Knight movie property? Do let us know€
