10 Iconic Horror Actors In Real Life

1. The Mother In Mama - Javier Botet

Mama Javier Botet
Universal

Javier Botet is one of horror movies' finest finds, appearing as emaciated, pale, and spectral figures throughout plenty of big name movies in his career as an actor. Standing at a whopping 6'6" and 120 pounds, Botet was born with Marfan Syndrome - which is a genetic disorder that affects connective tissue - allowing him to portray terrifying monsters through the manipulation of his double joints.

If you don't recognise Botet straight away, you'll definitely recognise his filmography. Appearing in [REC] as the monster in the attic, the titular mother in Mama, the monster himself in Slender Man, the Crooked Man in The Conjuring 2, the hobo in It, as well as various other nightmarish visions from Crimson Peak to even Game of Thrones - there's high chance that Botet has creeped you the hell out at some point in time.

And aside from all the scary skins he has on, you'd never guess this normal guy was lurking underneath.
