10 Iconic Horror Movie Characters Done Dirty

2. Michael Myers

For poor Michael Myers, he's been done wrong on a fair few occasions dating back across the 13 Halloween movies we've seen so far. Well, 12 of those 13, for the Shape was obviously absent for Halloween III: Season of the Witch.

The first time Michael was handled in bafflingly bizarre fashion was the plot thread launched in Halloween 5: The Return of Michaels Myers and fully fleshed out in Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers. Yes, that would be the horrendous Cult of Thorn BS which saw it revealed that Myers was under a curse which compelled him to kill his bloodline on Halloween. Oh, and it was also insinuated - and outright stated in a deleted scene - that Michael impregnated his 15-year-old niece Jamie Lloyd.

After that, Michael Myers had to contend with the farce that was fighting Busta Rhymes in Halloween: Resurrection; a fight which saw Busta actually get the better of Haddonfield's most infamous son with some kung fu moves.

If that wasn't enough, 2022's Halloween Ends kept Myers on the sidelines for the majority of its runtime, instead putting the bulk of it villainous spotlight on newcomer Corey Cunningham while Michael was left to skulk about in the sewers.

Also, the Halloween franchise has done Michael's long-time rival Laurie Strode dirty at plentiful points, whether that's killing her in an off-screen, between-movies car accident prior to Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, or the idiotic way she was killed by Myers in the opening of the awful Halloween: Resurrection; though Jamie Lee Curtis only agreed to return for Resurrection on the promise Laurie would be killed off.
