10 Iconic Horror Villains Of The Past Decade

4. Billy The Puppet (Saw)

Technically Billy the Puppet isn't actually the villain of Saw, but he's without a doubt the most memorable visual of these movies, and perhaps the most well known of these 10 characters. Billy is a ventriloquist's dummy that serial killer Jigsaw uses to communicate with his victims, so he's kind of like the guy's spokesperson. His mouth usually moves up and down as Jigsaw speaks on the tapes, and sometimes he even rolls into the room on that red tricycle. On his own he also makes this awful high pitched cackling sound that, contrasted against the dark and brooding Jigsaw voice, creates a really creepy disconnect. No, Billy never does anything on his own. He doesn't become possessed and start running around like Chucky. Yet just by appearing on these grainy tapes with his jaw moving up and down, Billy ends up being the scariest thing about these Saw movies by far. His unique appearance complete with the red spirals and bowtie makes for a pretty distinct looking creation. Whether you love or hate the Saw franchise, Billy will for sure be joining the annals of horror history forever.
