10 Iconic Images From Tim Burton's Batman

9. The Batmobile

Batmobile

The batmobile was another part of the Batman mythos that needed to be reworked to cast aside memories of the sixties TV series. In this case the redesign appears to be modelled around the new costume. Smooth, molded black armor. It also appears to have been influenced by the tank model used Frank Miller's €˜The Dark Knight Returns€™ as it has been retooled to have an offensive capacity. This is shown off in the scene where it is used to burn down the Axis Chemical Plant. Then it turns out to have been remote controlled.

8. The Flowers On The Pavement

Flowers on Pavementeight The scene of Bruce Wayne leaving two roses on the pavement outside a forgotten theater is one of those small touches dropped throughout the film that show why he decided to become Batman. There's no real origin for Bruce Wayne in Tim Burton's Batman and nothing at all to the extent of Batman Begins, but the little snippets of why Batman came to be added much intrigue and mystery to the character that made the film more enjoyable on re-runs.
