3.The Reveal of the Joker
Audiences might have expected Jack Nicholsons Joker to be like Gene Hackmans Lex Luthor. A threat, but not one that you took seriously or could be creepy. A comical villain for a comical film. Instead Nicholson remembers his work in The Shining. A character that gets broken down and has his darkest traits let loose. Ive been dead once before. Its very liberating. When the moment of reveal comes, he slowly moves forward, while talking to his former boss. As he gets nearer he reveals his skin and smile before stepping forward and taking off his hat. As you can see Im much happier. Then he starts casually reading a newspaper covered in blood, before giving the line that would be quoted at the end of Kick-Ass, twenty one years later.
2."Tell Your Friends"
So twenty three years after his last big screen appearance, Batman returns and decides to get back to striking fear into the hearts of criminals. The criminals try the obvious tactic of shooting him but the new suit, has the advantage of being able to take a bullet. Of course, being thought to be invulnerable to gunfire is going to be good PR for Batman. Then he declares himself to the underworld. Its notable that Michael Keatons Batman voice is a lot less extreme then Christian Bales.
