10 Iconic Movie Characters With Less Screen Time Than You Think

3. Boba Fett - Star Wars: Episodes V & VI

Boba Fett is one of the most enduring characters in Star Wars, with arguably the best design out of all of them (Darth Maul notwithstanding). His action figures are some of the franchise’s biggest sellers, and he’s had a massive impact in popular culture.

All that for 18 minutes.

That’s how much screen time Boba Fett gets across both movies, averaging out at nine minutes per flick. The Special Edition of the trilogy gives him a two minute spot in A New Hope too, combining for just over six and half minutes on average across three movies.

Despite this though, he’s one of the most recognisable characters and despite minimal impact to the storyline, many couldn’t imagine Star Wars without him.

Various spin offs, comics and games have fleshed him out a little, but part of his charm is the mysterious nature that swarms around him.

He’s got a huge cult following that belies his minimal screen time, and even in a franchise as beloved as Star Wars, remains one of their big hitters. He makes up a crucial part of the magic, even if he’s superfluous in the story itself.
