10 Iconic Movie Heroes Who Deserved Way Better Deaths

1. Cyclops - X-Men: The Last Stand

X-Men The biggest mistake that anybody made with regards to the X-Men movie franchise was handing the keys over to renowned douchebag and director/liar Brett Ratner, the guy who is best know and mostly responsible for the Rush Hour movies. There's nothing wrong with the Rush Hour movies, of course (well... except for the third one), but I don't know why - of all the available directors in Hollywood - this guy was deemed the right person to deliver a sequel worthy of X-2. Aside from the all inherent problems with this third entry, though, the most bizarre moment in the entire movie has to come in the form of Cyclop's death. Which isn't even really a death. Cyclops, for those who don't know, is a mutant with the power of laser vision - he has to wear special glasses over his eyes to stop them from shooting massive beams of red death. In The Last Stand, Cyclops is mourning over the death his former love, Jean Grey, who dies in the previous movie. For some reason, though, Ratner decided that he couldn't handle having two main protagonists - one of whom is Wolverine - and sent Cyclops out to a lake just thirty minutes into the movie, where he found himself reunited with a phantom version of Jean Grey. Then he kisses her and, like, explodes, and that's it. He's out of the movie. Dead forever. What the f*ck? Like this article? Let us know in the comments section below.
