10 Iconic Movie Heroes Who Deserved Way Better Deaths

7. Robert Muldoon - Jurassic Park

Jurassic Park I won't argue that Robert Muldoon's death in Jurassic Park isn't an iconic one, but considering the skills that this character is supposed to inhibit, it does come across as kind of disappointing, despite the fact that we all remember it for being so... well, memorable. When Jurassic Park gets switched offline due to the bumbling antics of one Dennis Nedry, it's left up to Dr. Ellie Sattler and Robert Muldoon, the park's game warden, to find a way to turn it back on. It's at this point that Muldoon separates from Sattler and meets his gruesome death. You'll remember the scene, of course. Muldoon is the only one working at Jurassic Park who seems to understand how dangerous the velociraptors are, a point proven when he's approached by a flock and then flanked from the side. He then utters the immortal line "Clever girl," seconds before he's eaten alive. It's a great scene, but it doesn't do Muldoon justice - it would have been nice for this competent character to have been able to showcase a little more badassery, and maybe taken down a dinosaur or two. As it stands, it feels like his skills are never fully showcased.
