10 Iconic Movie Moments (That Were Only Added At The Last Minute)

6. The Modern Day - Dracula Untold

The Iconic Scene: OK, so maybe iconic isn't the best word to use when describing a moment from the recent vampire-mess, but at the very least the final scene is Dracula Untold's most memorable. After a ponderous and rather predictable origin story (shockingly Dracula ends up stuck with his vampire powers), the film jumps forward centuries to see a still young-looking Vlad in the modern day, bumping into series essential character Mina Harker. And, because audiences needed to have the past ninety minutes of their life feel even more worthless, Charles Dance's Master Vampire pops up to hint that things are only just starting. Why Was It Last Minute? Halfway through production the purpose of Dracula Untold changed drastically. What was originally intended to be a bare-basics, stand-alone take on the iconic Count suddenly became a jumping board to a wider world. Universal had grown envious of Marvel's Cinematic Universe and, realising they have a legacy of movie monsters, decided to go with their own mega-franchise. As the film originally had been rather stand-alone, there were copious reshoots that added scenes prophetic to the Universal Monster Shared Universe, most prominently that rushed final sequence. Expect Luke Evans' Dracula to stick around much longer than anyone wants him to.
