9. Bill Paxton Calls "Game Over, Man!" - Aliens

One of the many problems with sequels these days is the tendency to simply repeat the essence of the original on a grander scale - James Cameron avoided this pitfall perfectly when he took over the reigns of the Alien series from Ridley Scott, moving away from the tense horror-thriller dynamic of the original and crafting a ballsy action movie with Aliens. More famous for its incredible action set pieces than for its dialogue (although the final showdown between Sigourney Weaver's Ripley and the alien queen does have the excellent line, "get away from her you bitch!"), nevertheless one of the most quoted lines in the film - in which Bill Paxton's Corporal Hicks cries out "game over, man, game over!" - was ad libbed by the actor.
