10 Iconic Movie Scenes You Didn't Realise Happened By Accident

7. True Lies - Jamie Lee Curtis' Character Was Clearly Not A Real Stripper

True Lies was another in James Cameron's string of '90s hits, portraying Arnold Schwarzenegger as a simple family man with a 9-to-5 job who was actually an agent for a secret government anti-terrorist force.

As the movie unfolds, Schwarzenegger's wife, played by Jamie Lee Curtis, ends up believing that she is being coerced into seducing an enemy agent. She is given orders to entertain him, losing her glasses and mousy hair before doing so, becoming an extremely sexy version of her usual bored housewife.

She clearly, though, is no dancer.

During the scene, where she is actually dancing for her hidden-in-the-shadows husband, she executes a series of dance moves similar to a stripper's. At one point, however, she loses her balance, falls, then immediately gets back up and carries on.

The fall was not scripted, but instead of stopping, Curtis rolled with it, thinking it fit her character's clumsy un-sexiness. You can even see Schwarzenegger quickly move out of his chair to check on her, catch himself when she continues, and sit back down.

Jamie Lee Curtis is clearly not afraid to throw herself into the scene; her roll with the punches attitude makes for a great piece of comedy and fits both characters perfectly.
