1. Jurassic Park
If you have ever seen footage from the live stage show of Walking with Dinosaurs, you will know that Dinosaurs in a theater can work. What better way to put that pioneering puppetry to use than to bringing to life Jurassic Park for the stage? I don't think that there would be a ton of doubt from anyone that a Jurassic Park musical would do really really well. All you need to do is keep the same basic narrative structure and you highlight the moments of high emotions, replace them with songs and hey-presto, you got a Dino-musical. If you still aren't sold, just imagine John Hammond bellowing in tune, "We have a T-rex" while a massive anamatronic Brontosaurus walks behind him. Does it make you giddy with excitement? Because it should.
Songs: "We have a T-rex" "Chaos Theory" "You didn't say the Magic Word!" "Clever Girl" Which other iconic films deserve a complete musical redo? Share your own picks below.
