3. Fight Club
The stage is set. A spot light comes down. On steps Tyler Durden. "The first rule of Fight Club, is you don't talk about Fight Club. The second rule of Fight Club is you don't talk about Fight Club!" Music up and into a musical number about the parameters of Club. Don't pretend like that isn't appealing to you. A musical adaption of David Fincher's classic is a great idea. Really great! The brutality of the story could make a great musical. There could be something wonderful about seeing the Narrator punching the snot out of a guy all to a big showtime number. Many people have made the comparison between fighting and dancing before and they can certainly blend well together. Fight Club lends itself to something a little more barbaric and aggressive than the showy dance numbers of Singing in the Rain but that doesn't mean they can't be any less exciting or jaw dropping. Speaking of which, you may want to sit a few rows back from the front. You don't want blood, sweat and teeth showering you while you watch the show.
