2. Pulp Fiction The Path Of The Righteous Man...
The Scene: There are burgers, guns, some nonsensical stuff that doesnt pretend to resemble a plot and Samuel L Jackson shouting passages of the bible at wrong doers.
Why It Overshadows The Movie: Like Inglourious Basterds, Pulp Fiction is really just a series of cool scenes told in no particular order for no particular purpose and like an article written by me isnt about much more than how clever it finds itself. This is the standout scene of this particular example of self-gratification and again is expertly written to the point where it manages to traverse simple ground about burgers into a tense interrogation scene that ends with a shootout. Jules speech in here is the most famous part of the film, the image of him and Vincent pointing their guns adorns many a 15 year olds wall and is probably the best acting sequence of Samuel L Jacksons career right before the time he became a hipster version of Nicolas Cage. Its clever, its funny and it brought the best out of its star whilst capturing imagery that will most likely last forever.
