10 Images That Prove James Cameron Is Totally Insane

9. Joining A Tribe's Fight

Some of the most commonly occurring themes in James Cameron's works over the years have included conflicts between technology and humanity, along with that of corporate greed. Such is the importance of these themes to the director, that this passion extends beyond just filmmaking. Back in 2010, Cameron personally visited the remote Amazon village of Mrotidjam, in order to meet with the Xingu tribe that inhabits it. Spearheading a campaign against the destruction of the Amazon, Cameron was there to help campaign against the construction of the Belo Monte hydroelectric dam. Cameron claims that the situation is like a "real-life Avatar confrontation," believing that his status as a filmmaker will help further bring light to the Amazon's problems on an international level.
