10 Incredible Actors Who Went Bad To Win An Oscar

7. Tilda Swinton - Michael Clayton

Before slipping into the role of a ruthless attorney in 2007€™s Michael Clayton, Tilda Swinton had appeared in little indie movies like Adaptation and Thumbsucker, but in Michael Clayton she finally found a real meaty villainous role. As Karen Crowder, she represents a large corporation who€™s had a class action lawsuit brought upon it. She does everything you€™d expect a sleazy lawyer representing an evil corporation to do including hiring two hit men to silence one of her own colleagues who happened upon incriminating information. What a scumbag, right? Not only that but she tries to blow up George Clooney! Not to mention the fact that she€™s in the middle of a complete mental breakdown and has a serious perspiration issue.

Swinton gives a magnificently subtle performance as a woman who would do anything in her power to win but doesn€™t. Swinton did, however, win the film€™s only Oscar.
