2. George Reeves and Christopher Reeve Both Play Superman, Die Unexpectedly

Superman In June 1959, George Reeves, the man known for playing the first live-action Superman on TV, was found dead from a gunshot wound in the midst of a party. However, doubt quickly arose over whether Reeves did in fact kill himself, due to the fact that the drunk party guests couldn't cobble together coherent statements after discovering his corpse, the lack of gunpowder residue on his skin, and also the fact that his friends generally believed him to be happy and "not the type" to kill himself. Christopher Reeve, who played Superman in its most famous cinematic adaptation, became a quadriplegic after being thrown from a horse. In 2004, a severe reaction to an antibiotic caused him to go into cardiac arrested, and he tragically died. Aside from their extremely similar surnames, it's quite the coincidence that two men who portrayed positively larger-than-life characters died so tragically, so strangely and so young.
