7. Spider-Man Dodging Razor-Bats - Spider-Man
Much like 300, this is one that slips in under the radar because it appears within an image that is composed almost entirely of CGI. When Spidey leaps into a burning building to save a woman and her baby, he soon enough discovers that the Green Goblin has been waiting for him, and a fight ensues. Goblin hurls some razor-bats, and Raimi cuts to the iconic slow-motion shot of Spidey leaping about to avoid being cut to shreds. While the razor-bats are themselves obviously CGI, one would readily assume that the raw image was of a stunt actor in the Spidey suit leaping about, but alas, that is not the case. In actual fact, Spidey here is a 100% CGI model, impressive because back in the early 2000s these sorts of things were easy to distinguish from the real thing, given that animators had not yet properly grasped the subtle tics and inflections in muscle that define movement. However, this is perfectly weighted and looks indistinguishable from the real deal.
