Yeah, we’re going for it—we’re including the much-maligned 2006 sci-fi fantasy comedy Click from Adam Sandler on this list, as the best thing to come from this critically reviled wish fulfilment comedy actually takes place in its closing moments.

The film, which follows Sandler’s inevitably madcap antics upon receiving a magical remote control which allows him to pause, fast forward, and rewind reality, is almost entirely as puerile and predictable as that premise implies.

But the flick takes the “third act serious turn” way too seriously and ends up in genuinely tragic territory all of a sudden, resulting in the only conceivable effective “It was all a dream” twist in cinema history,
