10 Incredible F-Bombs Dropped In PG-13 Movies

6. Catch Me If You Can

Catch Me If You Can is a lovely film about a con artist who steals millions of dollars from banks and airlines as he runs about the country pretending to be a pilot, a doctor, and an attorney. The film was brilliantly written by Jeff Nathanson with direction by Steven Spielberg.

The aforementioned con artist, Frank Abagnale, was played by Leonardo DiCaprio while his nemesis, Carl Hanratty was played by Tom Hanks. Nemesis is a harsh word, but seeing as the entire film is about Hanratty trying to find and capture Abagnale, it works for the context.

Hanratty was presented as a humorless man who was entirely focused on his work. It was a strange role for Hanks whose grasp of humor helped launch his career, but it wasn't until he told a joke in the second act of the film that his personality truly rose to the surface.

While driving two other agents to a hotel to follow up on a lead, one of the men admits he got transferred to the check fraud department as a sort of punishment. It was clear that Hanratty was offended by this remark, and he followed it with a joke.

"Knock Knock." — Carl Hanratty

" Who's there?" — Earl Amdursky

"Go f**k yourselves." — Carl Hanratty

The deadpan manner of the joke's delivery perfectly illustrated Hanks' character in the film, but it also serves as a hilarious way to add an F-Bomb to an otherwise family-friendly Steven Spielbfilmg movie.
