10 Incredible Monsters In 10 Not-So Incredible Movies

2. The Green Slime (1968)

thegreenslimeuse1 Besides having killer monsters, The Green Slime has an incredible theme song that sounds like something we only hope a bunch of hippies got high to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtV_LeN7B1g&feature=youtu.be Directed by Kinji Fukasaku (Battle Royale), a giant asteroid is hurling towards Earth threatening to wipe it out. Astronauts must land on the asteroid itself and detonate it from a safe distance (did Michael Bay watch The Green Slime?), that safe distance being Gamma 3, an Earth orbitting station. Unfortunately one of the crew had a strange green slime attached to his leg. This slime grows into the one eyed beauty known as the green slime, a tentacled cyclopean horror created by two Godzilla veterans, Yukio Manoda and Akira Watanabe. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g79_ljVC5Wk&feature=youtu.be
