6. Identity Crisis
Identity Crisis by Brad Meltzer is arguably the best storyline from DC in the last decade. It involves not only the entire JLA team from all of history, but dozens of other characters from the universe. The story involves many twists and turns, which would be too spoiler heavy to mention here, but lets just say the ending is not only emotional it practically punches the reader in the gut. It asks tough questions about morality and shows that even comics version of Greek Gods arent without human faults beneath their capes. Identity Crisis relies too much on backstory to take place in the first JLA movie, but the film could incorporate a few plot points to set the storyline up for a sequel.
