Vince Vaughn's Rotten Tomatoes listings might not be quite as covered in green splatters as Rob Schneider's, but it isn't far off. It's been a while since he's done a film which has mustered a score higher than 60%. Like many actors who start out great but end up getting incredibly lazy and doing the same predictable thing from one movie to the next, there was a time when Vince Vaughn was considerably more edgy and varied in the roles he took on. Not so more recently: The Break Up, Fred Clause and The Watch are all indicative of the kind of quickly churned out comedies he's become noted for. While there's nothing coming up from Vaughn in cinemas which suggests he'll be moving in fresh and exciting new directions, his casting in the next series of True Detective could well be the vehicle he's been looking for to break away into something more dramatic and challenging.
