10 Indiana Jones Movies You Won't Believe Almost Happened

5. Indiana Jones And The Lost Continent

Indiana Jones Atlantis Given the opportunities presented by a globe-trotting adventurer like Indiana Jones, the character has been spun-off into the realms of novels, theme park rides, and - yep - video games. Most of the Indy video games are forgettable and lazily built, but there are a few, like Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, which are genuinely brilliant. That game, released back in '92, saw Indy investigating the disappearance of that very famous missing city, and is often regarded by fans as the best non-cinematic Indiana Jones-related story that would have made for an awesome film. Indiana Jones and the Lost Continent is a separate entity, however, removed from the context of the video game, and one that hasn't ever actually been confirmed by the likes of George Lucas and friends. The Lost Continent was rumoured to feature a plot about the discovery of Atlantis (the title's kind of a giveaway), though that's about all we got with regards to narrative. The most notable rumour attached to this project came when it was revealed that Sandra Bullock was being considered to play one of Indy's students. Which turned out to be a load of Sandra B*llocks.
