There could only be one piece of dialogue to top this list, but it's probably not the line you're expecting. While the dialogue that is much maligned in the public eye is Superman's utterance of "Save Martha", this line is actually okay. Sure, the wording was a bit odd considering Bruce Wayne had never met Martha Kent and would have no idea who she was, but it wasn't an out and out stinker.

The absolute stinker of a line actually belongs to Ben Affleck's Batman, who bizarrely loses the plot before uttering "how do you know that name!" It is one of the greatest mysteries in film history why Zach Snyder thought the idea that Batman and Superman's Mum having the same name was a strong idea, and one that would forever change Bruce Wayne's opinion of the man of steel.

What is so staggering about this line is that there is basically no explanation made of why this coincidence of Mum's names would have such an impact. Snyder makes the big mistake that the audience would naturally just understand the significance of the moment, which has generally been lost on viewers.

It's a great shame as despite its many flaws, the film looked to finally be building to an epic conclusion when the battle between the two heroes drew to a close. Sadly, this bizarre line of dialogue destroyed all momentum and interest in the remainder of the film.
