10 Infamous Movie Plot Holes That Actually Have Legitimate Answers

9. The Dark Knight Rises - Why Bane Kept The Police Alive

Dark Knight Rises This one gets mentioned quite a lot in discussions about whether or not The Dark Knight Rises is a good movie. In the final act of the film, the police, who were trapped by Bane in the sewers of Gotham, finally are rescued by Batman and join in a final battle against the forces of Bane in order to take back the City. If only Bane was smart enough to actually kill them instead of taking care of them he might have had a chance against Batman and actually accomplished his mission. The Reasonable Explanation... Usually during a discussion about the film, both parts argue that the other person didn't payed attention to the film or ignored the good/bad stuff on it, however in this case, it's actually true. During the talk Bane and Bruce had in the pit, Bane mentions that "there can't be true despair without hope," so he'll make the people in Gotham believe that they will live, only to see their hopes crushed when the bomb goes off. I have to admit, despite the problems that I had with the movie, that was a really great way to destroy the people in Gotham.
