10 Infamous Movie Plot Holes That Actually Have Legitimate Answers

2. Back to the Future - Why Nobody Remembered Marty

efef Another entry from Back to the Future, and this one is a little bit more important than the previous one. After Marty went to 1955 and met his parents, he helped his father to become a better man, to face his bully and to conquer the girl of his dreams, he just comes back to 1985 and everybody lives happily ever after. However, there's one thing that must be mentioned; why nobody appears to remember Marty? Surely all the things he did should have left some kind of mark on the characters, or at least George should have been a little bit suspicious about the resemblance of his 3rd kid to his wife's ex-boyfriend. The Reasonable Explanation... This one is very simple, if you're over 40, try to remember the people you met in High School, to remember exactly how they looked like. Hard, isn't it? If a normal person can barely remember more than 7 items, it's obvious to think that you would forget how someone you met in high school looked like. He wouldn't really see Marty like that again until 30 years later, so it is easy to assume that he and Lorain forgot how Calvin looked like. In any case, after seeing at the end of the film what a great life Loraine and George were having, I presume that George would think than the fact than those two looked alike was just a coincidence, since he was giving Loraine a great life. Maybe the Loraine from the first timeline would have done that, since she looked very unhappy in her marriage, but this one didn't have a reason to complain about.
