Whilst Shane Hulbut was technically the director of photography as opposed to main director, his run-in with Christian Bale on the set of Terminator: Salvation simply cannot be excluded from this list. Not only was the confrontation fierce, but it was also caught entirely on tape and leaked onto the internet. The confrontation exists in audio form, with Hulbut apparently crossing into Bale's line of sight one too many times during the shoot. Such is Bale's fury you can almost feel his saliva spitting out through the audio recording, with Hulbut timidly repeating "sorry" as the star screams at him to get off the set.
