There seems to be nothing on earth that Michael Bay won't try to blow up - no matter how good-looking it is - so it's fair to say that Megan Fox wasn't exactly wearing her thinking cap on the day that she compared her Transformers director to the leader of the Third Reich. Being labelled as Hitler by a voluptuous 21st Century sex symbol might be enough to make even the toughest man weep, but despite his explosive reputation, Bay responded not by rigging Miss Fox with dynamite, but instead by simply firing her from the Transformers franchise. This decision was hugely endorsed by movie magician Steven Spielberg, who found Fox's comment about Bay resembling Hitler to be hugely offensive. Bay eventually issued a sarcastic public apology to Fox, stating "I'm sorry, Megan. I'm sorry I made you work twelve hours. I'm sorry that I'm making you show up on time". Transformers was in fact Fox's first big Hollywood role, and Bay claimed that the workload - despite being relatively modest for a lead Blockbuster part - had simply been too taxing for her. Given that the two collaborated on Bay's latest feature Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, it appears all has been forgiven. Thank heavens, eh?
