He gained 42 pounds, but whats more is he shaved off his GQ-ready hair and completely absorbed the real-life title characters mannerisms. And he did this all in five weeks. He told

Roger Ebert called it 92 minutes of rage, acted by Tom Hardy. This was high praise for a movie based on a man made out of pure rage. And some consider the Academys overlooking of the performance as a snub.
