Patty Jenkins 2017 Wonder Woman is one of the highest-rated comic book movies ever. A resounding success with audiences and critics alike, Wonder Woman delivered an epic love story to go along with Diana Prince's quest to find the God of War with Chris Pine and Gal Gadot's effortless chemistry dazzling audiences.

In Flashpoint, Barry's time-travelling hijinks made it so Steve Trevor and Wonder Woman never met, and caused the Amazonian to become a much more fearsome, tyrannical figure hellbent on world domination. One of the must shocking moments in the whole series comes when Wonder Woman captures Steve Trevor spying on her Amazonian army and orders him killed.

If the Flash movie intends to mess around with the DCEU timeline, then it will need to show us a radically different version of Wonder Woman to let audiences know that the game has changed. Having Gal Gadot off Chris Pine's Steve Trevor would be an epic raising of the stakes and cement Wonder Woman's new status as a formidable villain.

While audiences may baulk at the idea of seeing Wonder Woman in a villainous light, if done right Wonder Woman's murder of Steve could be an epic twist that could turn the character into a legendary comic book movie villain.
