10 Insane Monsters We Hope To See In The New Kong-Zilla-Verse
2. Mechagodzilla
Yeah, you knew he was coming.
While later incarnations of Mechagodzilla in the '90s were man-made defense robots with human pilots on board (much like the Jaegers of Pacific Rim), Original Gangster MG from 1972 was built by aliens and sent to conquer Earth.
It isn't until the end of his debut film that he reveals his iconic "Space Titanium" exoskeleton, because he arrived on Earth disguised as Godzilla in makeup. This robot dinosaur is one very cool customer.
Along with the standard Kaiju arsenal, this guy is positively overflowing with missiles. He has missile launchers in his fingers, knees, and toes. I honestly can’t decide which of those is the funniest place to fire missiles from. I’m leaning towards knees.
While the odds of seeing him in a Kong-Zilla-Verse might be low, fear not. If the film is faithful to the book, we'll soon be seeing him in Steven Spielberg's upcoming adaptation of Ready Player One.
