2. Raoul Silva's Plan To Kill M - Skyfall
THE PLAN: Having been sold out by M after hacking the Chinese on his lunch breaks, Raoul Silva spends years plotting his revenge on her. His plan sees him takeover an island, lure Bond to said island, get himself captured by MI6, have MI6 plant a virus into their computer system by accessing his laptop, escaping from his glass cage during the ensuing chaos and then finally to shooting M in a crowded courtroom. What could be simpler?
WHY IT'S STUPID: Silva's motives are almost understandable, his desire for payback after M's betrayal is something a lot of crazed spies might want. The way he goes about it though is bizarre, why does he have an island? Why does he need to bomb MI6? Why does he need Bond at all? Given he ends up bursting into a courtroom and blindly firing in M's direction, you think he probably could have just skipped to that part. I know he wanted to her to see the bombing and then freak her out with some cryptic emails, but he could have sent her a PowerPoint presentation on why he hates her, then blow up her office. Would have saved himself so much time.
