10 Insane Movie Plans That Completely Ignored Logic

3. Daniel Hillard's Plan To See His Children - Mrs. Doubtfire

MrsDoubtfireTHE PLAN: After being sacked, kicked out of his home and asked by his wife for a divorce, Daniel Hillard's life is looking pretty crappy. In a totally not surprising turn of events, his wife is granted custody of their children and he is allowed to visit them once a week with the promise that should he actually get himself a place to live and a job then he can have more access. Rather than doing what the law has asked of him, Daniel decides it would be a much better idea to embark on some transvestism and pose as Scottish housekeeper, Mrs Doubtfire. This allows him unfettered access to his children and probably fulfils a life long desire to wear hosiery. WHY IT'S STUPID: Firstly, surely his wife would recognise that it was him, no matter how well done the make-up is? We can all tell it's Robin Williams and we are supposed to believe that his wife of many years doesn't find something odd about her new housekeeper? I can't see how a bit of make up and some fake boobs would totally throw her. There is also the fact that, it surely wouldn't have been that difficult for him to get a job and a house? Then he could have shown his kids and wife he is a mature man and she probably would have taken him back and he would not have got into further trouble with the law, which he so blatantly ignored. Get a job, get a flat and leave the dressing up to your private alone time. Finally, how much is this going to mess up his kids? If I found out my housekeeper was actually my dad in drag, not only would I be permanently embarrassed by him, it would turn that inappropriate teenage crush on an older woman into something seriously f****d up.
