10 Insane Movie Rumours That Could Totally Happen

We return once again to The Flash film, which has more gossip and rumours flying around than Regina George's Burn Book.

As previously mentioned, the multiverse angle for the upcoming Flash film means there may be a plethora of cameos from DC's various superheroes. One of the most hotly talked about roles, however, has been about who will portray the role of Krypton's favourite son - Superman. Although Henry Cavill and Brandon Routh both have strong claims to feature as Superman in this film, there is one man who has been waiting long enough for his chance to shine.

There is some joyful tittle-tattle circling the rumour mills that we may finally get to see none other than Nicolas Cage flying around Metropolis as Superman. During the 1990s, Kevin Smith, Tim Burton and Nicolas Cage were tantalizingly close to sealing the deal on a movie titled Superman Lives in what would have been the most insane superhero movie ever made (Brainiac, a biomechanical spider and a Superman suit that could turn into a space ship).

Now, almost 30 years later, we could finally get an answer to that "what if" moment that has been bugging superhero fans for decades.
